The master of original casino games has done it again.

If you know anything about online gambling, then you already know that by master we're referring to Stake, and this time the buzz is around its unique Cases game.

Just when you thought there was nothing new under the sun, Stake did it again with the release of Cases in February 2025, a pure luck, good gambles game that was quickly picked up by streamers and "regular" players alike.

While there's not much to learn to get started, or succeed, this review will help you understand the mechanics of the game, including how and how much you can win, and why its popularity took off from day one.

Game highlights:

  • Simple and fun game play
  • Totally original
  • Similar to a one-reel slot machine
  • Adjustable difficulty levels to choose your volatility
  • High RTP of 98%
  • Win up to 10,000X your bet
  • Available exclusively at Stake

Tip: Stake has increasingly tightened its IP accessibility. That means you may require a VPN service to access Cases. Turn on a VPN to any country not mentioned as restricted in the Stake Terms of Service, eg. Cyprus or Romania. From our experience, it should work. ➜ More info

Cases Basics and Rules

Like all Stake originals, Cases is built on a simple concept, with an equally minimalistic interface. To the left of the board you'll see the various commands for playing, which are mostly about placing your bets, and to the right of that your main screen where the action takes place.

Cases Difficulty Levels

These are the difficulty levels you can choose.

To begin, you'll want to set your 'Bet Amount' in the requisite field, and then the 'Difficulty' level. You can choose between 'Easy', 'Medium', 'Hard', and 'Expert' here. These modes essentially will impact the volatility of the game, so keep that in mind when deciding between them.

Next, click the bright green 'Bet' button, and look to the left of your screen to view the action. What you'll see is what can best be described as a single reel spinning - or more accurately rolling from right to left - where it will quickly land on a colored case.

The colored cases contain your prize (or lack thereof). You can click on them before setting your bet to see the prize potential contained, expressed in multipliers and corresponding odds.

Once the reel stops, the pointer will land on one of the rotating suitcase, and you'll receive what's inside.

The odds when playing Cases are pretty good with a 98% RTP or what translates to a mere 2% house edge. And the top prize of 10,000X your bet is of course always going to be a welcome windfall.

Cases Betting Limits

The betting limits for Cases are the same for all Stake original games like Mines, Plinko, and Slide if you're familiar with them. And if not, we recommend checking them out, because they're awesome too! But seriously, besides innovation and novelty, they all give you the incredible flexibility of betting from a single cent up to hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars, in a multitude of fiat and crypto currencies. That is, they have probably the most accommodating betting limits around.

Stake Cases Paytable

There are 3 factors at play in terms of payouts, when you gamble on the Stake original Cases online casino game. And they are:

  1. The game pays out prizes according to multipliers. That means the absolute amount that you can win will be a reflection of how much you bet.
  2. Each coloured suitcase pays different multipliers.
  3. The multipliers in the suitcases are lowest in Easy mode and highest when set at Expert level going up to the game's max of 10,000X your bet.

Special Features in the Cases Casino Game

The main feature of this game, if you wish to call it such, is the ability to choose your volatility level in picking the difficulty level of the game. As we already mentioned, the options here are: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert. As the name of each level implies, it's a reflection of how hard it is to win in that mode. The harder to win, however, the higher the multiplier potential. That's the trade off, if you will.

The other feature Cases contains is the fairly standard auto bet. This you can access by clicking on the 'Auto' tab which is at the top left side of the game board.

cases-autobetThe 'Manual' tab is the default when opening the game, and the 'Auto' tab is to its right.MoreLess

Here, under the 'Auto' tab you can set your 'Bet Amount', 'Difficulty' level, and now the 'Number of Bets' for consecutive play. If you'd like (and we recommend it) also set the commands for 'Stop on Profit' and 'Stop on Loss' to better stay in control. You can also, if you want, (we see this as more optional), fill in the 'On Win' and 'On Loss' fields, to increase your bet accordingly if you're playing with some sort of theory in mind.

Last but not least, while not quite a feature in the classic sense, the provably fair mechanics of the game, accessed with a click on the 'Fairness' link, are always a welcome addition to find.

Streamers Who Play the Original Cases Crypto Casino Game

Cases was released on February 12, 2025 and was instantly embraced by the online gaming world, including top streamers, who perhaps are the magic touch behind the buzz that got so many flocking to this unique game almost straight away.

While we can name names, like QuickTM, Mattdrenaline, @DeltaGambles, Woods, and others who quickly racked up tonnes of views, we're sure Cases is going to continue to solidify its standing in the casino streaming community. So stay tuned.

casino streamerIn addition to free play, watching Cases streaming sessions is actually an excellent way to learn the ins and outs of the game, especially in terms of how the various Difficulty modes perform, and the implications of their volatility.

Stake Cases Game Strategy and Tips

The Stake Cases game is 100% a game of random luck. Much like slots or instant scratch card games, there is nothing you can do to influence the outcome, even a bit. This of course is opposed to roulette or blackjack, in which good strategy can help your odds.

So what to do if you want tips to win? Well, nothing really beyond staying aware. That is, no matter how much fun you're having, or how much you think the next round is the big one, know when to continue, and when to stop. Whether that's expressed in a max spend limit for the day, or a time constraint, like how long you'll dedicate to play it's super important to always stay aware and in control.

Play Cases on Stake Mobile

mobile devices iconAnother known benefit of playing at Stake is the casino's inherent compatibility with mobile play. That is, the entire casino is browser based, which means it is accessed through your web browser rather than a casino app download.

This means all games, including its original games like Cases, are designed for play on any web browser on any device. This of course means Android and iOS operating systems, as much as any laptop or PC.

Stake Cases FAQs

To complete this game review, our experts at Casino.Guide have addressed some common questions players already have about this new Stake original casino game.

  1. Is the Cases game only available at Stake casino?
  2. Can I find something similar to Cases at other casinos?
  3. Is Cases like a slot machine or scratch card in terms of play?
  4. Would you call Cases a Bitcoin casino game?
  5. Is Cases a multiplayer game?
  6. Which difficulty level should I choose for playing Cases?
  7. Is it smart to use auto play when gambling on Cases?
  8. What other games are similar to Cases if I like it?
  9. Can I get a bonus to play Cases?
  10. Are the odds in Cases good?

1.) Is the Cases game only available at Stake casino?

Yes. The Cases game was developed by Stake casino, which has chosen to keep it to itself. At the time of writing this review, in fact, the game was so new that no other crypto casino could possibly have time to create a similar title to keep up, as has been the case with other titles found in the Stake original catalog. As such, the Cases experience is totally unique to Stake, beyond just the game name.

2.) Can I find something similar to Cases at other casinos?

No. As we just elaborated, the Cases concept is completely original to Stake as an online casino game. True, you will find originals like Plinko, Mines, and Limbo at other crypto casinos that specialise in in-house development like Shuffle and BC.Game. But Stake casino is on the leading edge on the development front, undeniably always one step ahead in the originality game.

3.) Is Cases like a slot machine or scratch card in terms of play?

We have definitely heard comparisons to a number of game categories, including slots and instant scratch cards. The single reel on which Cases is essentially played is certainly reminiscent of a one-reel slot, with the random reveal part of what's inside the suitcase perhaps reminding some of scratch card thrills.

Another common comparison, mind you, is to the loot boxes in games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, i.e. CS:GO. But at the end of the day, we still hold that Cases is entirely unique.

4.) Would you call Cases a Bitcoin casino game?

To call Cases a Bitcoin casino game would definitely be an accurate description, though to a degree limited. That's because while you can bet on Cases using Bitcoin, that's only one of the many options available.

In fact, Stake allows for gambling in over 20 different crypto currencies like ETH, LTC, USDT, EOS, SOL, and DOGE. Plus, many fiats like CAD, INR, and JPY. As such, you could call it by any of those names too.

5.) Is Cases a multiplayer game?

Unlike Slide, another popular title in the Stake original game repertoire, Cases is not a multiplayer game. That is, while many other players (likely thousands!) will be playing at the same time, you will not see their bets or results in real time, nor will the outcome of any round be the same for you and them at the same time.

However, if you like the combined thrill of crypto gambling and a community feel, Slide is definitely a great choice too - and we've even reviewed it for you. Though the solitude and quick pace of Cases may also have a place in your heart.

6.) Which difficulty level should I choose for playing Cases?

One of the best features of Cases is that it lets you choose your difficulty level for each round. The options, of course, being 'Easy', 'Medium', 'Hard', and 'Expert'.

Really what these difficulty levels express is a matter of volatility. When you choose 'Easy' the volatility will be lowest, which means while wins may be more frequent the multipliers (as in the prize amounts) will be lower. If you go for the other extreme of choosing 'Expert' level, the multipliers are going to be higher, but wins less frequent. The other two modes, of course, are somewhat of a balance in between.

Which is best depends on your goals in terms of how much and how frequently you want to win. Though of course, whichever mode you choose, that's never going to be a guarantee.

7.) Is it smart to use auto play when gambling on Cases?

Auto mode exists for a reason. And that's because many players like it. While we get the appeal, and some team members even swear by it, it's important to use it wisely.

The best way to do this is to set a number of rounds within your limits, so you're never spending beyond. It's also highly recommended to set stops as well, so you can see what's going on and better evaluate your next move following a major loss or win.

8.) What other games are similar to Cases if I like it?

Each of the games in the Stake original series is slightly different. But many have overlaps in terms of goals and style. Since almost all of them can be played for free, it's easy enough to test them out and choose yourself. However, we know from experience that Pump, Mines, Plinko, Slide, and Crash give a not dissimilar experience.

9.) Can I get a bonus to play Cases?

If you're looking for a Stake welcome bonus to get you started then it's lucky you've come to Casino.Guide. That's because we have an exclusive bonus code to get you a Stake welcome bonus that's available nowhere else, not even on the casino website.

The promo code, as a tip, is "casinoguide". Enter it when you register and when you deposit, you'll get a 100% up to $500 bonus which can be used on Cases as much as any other casino game.

10.) Are the odds in Cases good?

Case's official RTP of 98% is definitely very high. And if you're looking at it in terms of house edge, that would be a 2% house edge, which conversely is very low. As such, it would be safe to say that this is a very good odds game, though we'll repeat, winning is never a guarantee.

Our Expert Opinion on the Stake Original Cases Game

The bottom line is that with the release of Cases in early 2025, Stake has continued its legacy of delivering the best original games on the market.

The simplicity of play is welcome, together with the big prize potential, as much as the way to gamble online on a game that is truly different from the rest.

This, in other words, means we're fans of the game, and deeply appreciate what it's about.
