Those who follow the world of online gambling are well aware of the impressive partnerships that Stake casino has formed over the years in order to bolster its brand.
For the most part, these are international stars in either the sports or entertainment fields, with Drake being one of the stars on its list. While he is truly an international celebrity, however, some might say, that endorsement is overshadowed by an even bigger name for football (i.e. soccer) fans, for whom the Stake sponsorship agreement with Sergio Agüero trumps them all.
A true soccer legend, this Argentinian born striker is probably best known for his time on the national team, as well as his many years at Manchester City and a short stint with Barcelona. He also happens to be really good friends with the legendary Lionel Messi, and was once married to Diego Maradona's daughter no less, which only increased his star power.
Kun, as he's often called, is also a known lover of gaming, streaming from Twitch for quite some time, and more recently a clear fan of gambling, putting out some great content and posts for Stake in both the casino and sports domains. He appears to be actually a tried-and-true fan of the genre, and not just a paid partner, making him one of the best partners the brand has landed.
Sergio was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on June 2, 1988. He is equally well known by his nickname Kun, which he wore on the back of his jersey for many years.
A professional footballer, he is considered one of best strikers in the history of the sport, and one of the top Premier League players ever.
His career began in the Argentinian club Independiente in 2003, when he was just 15 years old and the youngest person to have played on the team. He then moved to La Liga in 2006 joining Atlético Madrid in a €23 million transfer where his star began to rise winning the Golden Boy, Don Balón, and World Soccer Young Player of the Year awards. There, in Madrid, he also won the UEFA Super Cup as well as the UEFA Europa League.
In 2011 he signed with Manchester City of the Premier League where he went on to play for a solid decade, winning five league titles, six EFL Cups, and an FA Cup. On a personal level, in his time there, Agüero was included in the PFA Team of the Year twice, and was awarded the Premier League Golden Boot. To-date, he is considered Manchester City's all-time top goal scorer with 260 goals in his time there. Plus, with 12 hat-tricks, he is the Premier League's record holder.
In 2021 he was transferred to Barcelona, where he played only four matches before retiring at the age of 33 due to a heart problem.
In between, he has also played for Argentina in multiple arenas, including the 2008 Olympics, as well as three FIFA World Cups in 2010, 2014, and 2018.
Sergio's nickname Kun was given to him in his early childhood by his grandparents, who thought he looked like a character called Kum-Kum in his favorite anime programme. While he didn't love the nickname at first, eventually he became so attached to it as part of his identity that he petitioned to be allowed to have Kun Agüero printed on the back of his official jersey.
Today Agüero keeps busy through multiple endeavours. He serves as a Stake ambassador, founded something called Go Mate drinks, and even co-owns a company called KRÜ esports with Messi. He also maintains a presence in the soccer world and a close connection to the Argentinian team.
How Much Experience Does Kun Agüero Have as a Streamer?
For a sports star, Kun Agüero actually has quite a bit of experience as a streamer. And this was even well before his Stake days. Those who follow either his sports career or his video game love already know how he began streaming quite seriously back in 2020, during the three-month soccer break, mandated at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At that time, he began live streaming his playing of different video games on the popular platform Twitch, where he grew in status so quickly that within a couple of months he surpassed a million followers; drawing fans especially in the Spanish speaking market. While his Twitch account is still live, he's moved his activities to Kick.com since then, the preferred platform of gambling streamers.
Kun took his competitive spirit online, streaming video game play at a steady pace over the years; a fresh side of him that was admittedly fun to see. MoreLess
Which Online Casino Does the Streamer Sergio Aguero Gamble at?
In 2022 it was announced that Sergio Agüero had formed a brand ambassadorial partnership with Stake, to serve as the crypto casino and sports betting operator's global representative for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar and going forward. A multi-year, multi-faceted partnership, it set the stage for Sergio's creation of exclusive content, special promotions, and even VIP guest packages within that capacity.
As Mladen Vuckovic, CEO of Stake, said at the time: "[W]e're delighted to announce the signing of Sergio Aguero as our new team star. Sergio's legacy speaks for itself and he is the perfect fit for us as we continue to expand Stake.com's global presence."1
Agüero himself responded enthusiastically: "I'm delighted to be working with Stake.com and joining their exciting team. I've watched on with interest as they have become more involved in football and Stake's ambitions very closely match my own as I move into a new phase of my post-playing career."
There is now an entire page on the Stake website dedicated to Kun and his achievements, and reciprocally, Agüero has Stake praise all over his social media accounts.
While he's been diligent in his task of promoting the crypto gambling operator over the years, few would deny that his marketing stunt2 to welcome Messi and his teammates to Miami wearing a Stake labelled jersey in the Argentinian football team colors together with a similarly clad goat, was one of his crowning moments in this capacity.
In June 2024, Kun pulled off quite a Stake branded stunt, when he waited with goats to welcome none other than the true GOAT himself Messi, and his teammates.MoreLess
What Are Sergio Agüero 's Favourite Online Casino Games?
Based on his videos on his Kick account, it's not entirely clear what his personal preferences are in terms of casino gambling. That's because he's known to build engagement by asking his live audience what they want to see him play, and then making his decisions from there.
Still, from what we've seen, like many streamers, he loves the Stake original crypto games like Mines. He has also publicly played live roulette and the Crazy Time game show. Plus he seems to enjoy a very wide variety of slots like Sugar Rush, Perseus vs. Medusa, Hand of Anubis, Wanted Dead or A wild, Joker Bombs, Zeus vs. Hades Gods of War, and Bow of Artemis, to name a few. And the video semi-roulette wheel game Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!
That's just a few of the games we've seen him play. He jumps around quite a bit, as opposed to other streamers who will focus even hours on a single game they really love; which for some may be a part of his appeal.
He's also apparently a rather avid poker fan, regularly taking part in tournaments, including the World Series of Poker in the past.
In addition, Agüero obviously works with Stake giving predictions for various football matches since that is his forte, and betting on the games, even sharing his results. To top that off, he is also apparently a fan of Formula1 racing based on some of the posts we've seen too.
When and Where Does Sergio Agüero Stream?
Sergio Agüero was very active on Twitch for many years, where he regularly streamed until early 2024.
Since then he seems to have moved his streaming activities to Kick.com, which makes sense as that's the platform preferred by casino talent.
While he does not maintain a set schedule, he does host sessions with a couple of pals every few weeks or so. Sometimes you may get advanced notification by following him on his various social media channels. Or better yet, subscribe to his Kick channel to ensure you get a notification.
If you miss him live, you can always catch the casino game stream videos from his channel, along with various amusing clips he's chosen to archive there.
Sergio Agüero on Social Media
Sergio is without a doubt a massive social media star. He is a true Instagram influencer, and has a huge following on all of the other platforms he has a presence on. This is mostly due to his fanbase grown in his soccer days, but also thanks to his strong image built through lifestyle content, gaming, and a few personal tidbits.
He also has his own official website www.sergioaguero.com, beyond the standard platforms.
With 30.6 million Instagram followers there is no denying that Kun Agüero is in a league of his own. Although he officially retired from professional football a few years back, there's simply no slowing down his influence in this field.
What's interesting is that very few of his Insta posts are flashy car, bejeweled bling, or the beautiful babe shots that so many other sports stars prefer to share. Rather he mostly sticks to his lane of football, with the occasional lifestyle shot here and there.
In addition to a strong focus on the Argentinian team, he also has Messi in a post every now and then. Plus, this is one of his top channels for promoting his love of Stake betting, with not infrequent sharing of his sports wagering wins, or other promos he's doing with the brand.

@aguerosergiokun on X (aka Twitter)
Sergio Kun Aguero (his official name on the platform) is also huge on Elon Musk's X platform, where he currently is closing in on 17 million followers. There is undoubtedly a fair amount of overlap between the content here and on his Instagram account. However, on X he is quite active in responding to comments, which can make it fun for those who are interested in a little banter and/or engagement on the side.
As for the specifics, again you'll be getting a lot of football content focussing on Argentina, a bit of his own career, some Messi mixed in, and yes, also some Stake promo stuff, like that GOAT stunt as well. Plus, of course, he uses this medium to advertise to his fanbase the other products he's working on like his Go Mate line of drinks.

Sergio Aguero on Facebook
Facebook might not be what it used to be in terms of influencer bragging rights, but that doesn't take away from his accomplishment there in reaching over 23 million followers.
Contrary to other young talents, he actually updates his Facebook account fairly frequently with quite a bit of Stake content, making it a good channel for following him for our readers.
He also has a bit of his video game stuff on there, which is something he's known to love, his product promos, and of course, plenty of soccer highlights.

SLAKUN10 on Twitch
Look at the About section of Sergio's official Twitch account, and you'll see the description: "SLAKUN10 streams EA Sports FC 24." Though from what we know he played - or commentated on others playing - numerous other genres including popular shooter games.
This indeed is something he did on Twitch to the delight of his 4.8 million followers, until the early months of 2024 that is. Since then, his account there has not been active as he seems to have taken his streaming talent to Kick.
But if you like watching him, or are a fan of the video game streaming genre, you can always watch his old footage here, which while not live, is still undeniably entertaining.

Sergio Agüero on Kick.com
While his following on Kick doesn't come close to the fanfare he was able to drive on Twitch, that could well just be a matter of time. After all, with more than 159,000 Kick followers, he's actually on the higher end of gamers there. And since it's a relatively new gig for him, it may just be a matter of time until he boosts his numbers. Or it may be because it's more of a niche market, so that's considered high for what it is.
In any event, what he does there is stream his Stake gambling - something we're thrilled to see, as not all Stake ambassadors actually do this. Kudos to him demonstrating an actual love of gambling.
Like many popular gamers, he has entourage on hand to keep the banter up. He also mixes in some other content to keep it interesting throughout his sessions, sometimes surfing to TikTok videos, joking with friends, calling up people, and other random things along the way.

Kunaguero on TikTok
A savvy businessman, Kun is everywhere fans could possibly be, including TikTok. There he has 11.9 million followers and 202 million likes.
Interestingly, he doesn't seem to be promoting his Stake work there, though he does in his profile prominently display his Stake ambassadorship status. But he does have plenty of other clips that can be fun for gaming and sports fans alike.

Agüero Sergio Kun on YouTube
While we'd personally say following him on X, Instagram, and Facebook are going to be your best bets, we can't complete this analysis of Kun Agüero's social media presence without at least a mention of YouTube.
So yes, you can find him there as well. Either on his own YouTube channel or in the many clips fans have posted over the years.
What you'll find under his official channel, can be interesting, with sections dedicated to Vlogs, Kings League (another known passion of his), the Qatar World Cup, and general goofing off kind of stuff.
Kun Agüero is a well-known fan of the Kings League (actually its chairperson), something he prominently shares on his YouTube channel.
Does Sergio Agüero Use Any Special Betting Strategies?
Although casino streamers are incredibly entertaining, for the most part, they're not going to share their strategies per se - as opposed to video game talents, who often give you tips along the way. The one real exception perhaps being Aarav Gambles, the Indian streamer known for this strategy focused content.
Sergio streaming from the Stake website.
Slots streaming really for the most part is about the entertainment factor, and watching people with a larger budget than us gambling big time.
That's basically a long way of saying that Agüero doesn't seem to have any betting strategies for us to emulate.
Also, admittedly Agüero jumps around A LOT between games, so it's super hard to assign any sort of order to that. In fact, based on his streams he seems to actually be all over the place, though he does come back to Mines and Sugar Rush a fair bit.
He also doesn't seem to stick to one currency as you can see his balance in different cryptos at different times including Tether. But his bankroll is clearly not small, which may be his own money deposited, likely with a deal with Stake for funding it in part, along with his many wins.
Scandals and Controversies
Like pretty much any celeb, Agüero has had controversies connected to him.
For example, in May 2023, he was investigated for inciting violence based on comments he made online about an Avellaneda derby referee.
He also had a cheating scandal around the breakup with his model girlfriend Sofia Calzetti in September 2023.
And there was an incident back in 2020, when he grabbed a female referee, physically pulling her towards him to complain about a call she'd made. Though no disciplinary action was taken, it did create a bit of a stir online.
Sergio Agüero Estimated Net Worth
One of the things we're all most curious about when it comes to celebrities is no doubt how much they're worth.
In the case of Agüero, it is unsurprisingly quite a lot. While the range of $70 million to $80 million usually quoted is quite large, in either event, he clearly has enough money to last for generations if managed well.
This money comes from his many years as a player, various endorsements and sponsorships, and some of his entrepreneurial endeavors. Plus, we'd assume, ongoing investments.
To give you some kind of indication of his wealth, an entity he led bought Slak Casa Miami, a mansion in Hollywood, Florida for a reported $15,000,000 in January 2022.3
Sergio's Private Life
On the personal level, Kun has two brothers who are professional football players. Mauricio del Castillo plays for the Argentinian team Independiente, while Gastón del Castillo is a member of the Saltillo FC team in Mexico.
Sergio is also known to be a good friend of Lionel Messi, with whom he shared a room during outings back in his national team days. So much so, in fact, that in his autobiography "Born to Rise" he wrote that Messi is "like a brother", and Messi for his part wrote a foreword for the book.
As for his personal status, while not currently married, Agüero was actually wed to the Argentinian legend Diego Maradona's youngest daughter - Giannina Maradona - from 2008 until their divorce in 2012. In February 2009, the two had a son, Benjamin, who was born in Madrid.
He later went on to date the gorgeous model Sofia Calzetti, and after their breakup, it was announced that they're expecting a child.

Bottom Line: Is Sergio Agüero Worth Watching?
So the question is after all that, is Agüero worth watching as a Stake streamer?
And the answer is, oh yes! 100% Sergio Agüero is worth watching. How's that for an endorsement? But seriously, this is one of the biggest soccer stars around, objectively, and he is also a legitimate Stake fan. This is a rare combo and one that's made especially excellent by his many years of experience in the soccer world, as well as his time as an avid video game player.
In fact, this may well be one of Stake's best finds in terms of true ambassadorship, totally making him a must-see.

Sitting still has never been my strength, and my colleagues say that I don't need a chair because I'm always on the move. My dream to play professional soccer didn't work out, but it turns out mobile gaming is not a bad alternative either. I prefer to be out and about instead of sitting in an office, so mobile gaming has turned out to be the perfect match. I test mobile casinos and their platforms from my phones and tablets so I have a clear idea how they perform on different devices. From performance to the latest mobile promotions, I'm always on top of it all!
