If you're looking for a truly original casino game, Slide by Stake may well be it.

Nice and simple, all you have to do is set a target multiplier from 1.01X to 4,294,967,000X, and hope that the carousel slides into that slot, or any one of a value above.

If you guess correct, or less than where the slide ultimately stopped, you win that multiplier against your bet amount.

A multiplayer game, it's also fun to watch who's betting what, adding another dimension of excitement, and inspiration from those who succeed.

Game highlights:

  • Fun and engaging
  • Pure luck guessing game
  • Super simple to play
  • Just 19 seconds to place your bets (fast and exciting rounds!)
  • Multiplayer aspect adds a social/competitive element
  • High RTP of 98%
  • Win up to 4,294,967,000X your bet
  • Available exclusively at Stake

Tip: Stake has increasingly tightened its IP accessibility. That means you may require a VPN service to access Slide. Turn on a VPN to any country not mentioned as restricted in the Stake Terms of Service, eg. Cyprus or Romania. From our experience, it should work. ➜ More info

Slide Game Basics and Rules

This crypto game, like all Stake originals is super easy to understand and play. You will, however, need to familiarise yourself with the board and goal of the game first in order to optimise the experience.

So first of all, let's understand the basic mechanics at play here. To the right side of the game board, once you've opened Slide in your browser, you will see where the action unfolds. In the middle section of your screen, there are multipliers going from 1X up 4,294,967,000X. Once the round begins, they will slide along from right to left in a carousel manner, and quickly come to a stop on a random number. Where the pointer lands is the game's multiplier, i.e. the outcome of the round.

slide-previewTo the left is where you place your bets, while to the right is where the action takes place.MoreLess

If you bet this number or any number below, you win. So if you bet a 2X multiplier, for example, and the pointer lands on 5.07X, you win. Your prize of course is then 2X your bet. The key is to find a balance between a higher prize sum and a decent likelihood of getting it right.

You can, by the way, place more than one wager per round, essentially hedging your bets or gaining exponential returns.

To place your bets, you're now going to look to the left side of your screen under the 'Manual' tab. There are two actions required of you there.

  1. One, you will need to set your 'Bet Amount'.
  2. And two, you will need to fill in the field 'Target Multiplier'.
  3. Once you're done, click the bright green 'Bet' or 'Bet (Next Round)' button right below, and your wager will be placed.

The difference here, by the way, in terms of the exact wording on the button, is because there's a set time limit for betting on each round. As the clock counts down, players can make their wagers, and then while the game is in play, you'll need to wait until the next round to participate.

arrowUnderneath these betting fields, you can also see a live ticker showing all of the other people wagering, on which multiplier, and how much. This, in our opinion, is super fun to follow. Similarly, on the right side of the screen, in the bottom left corner of the playing field, you can see how many bets in total have been placed on this round, usually numbering in the hundreds (just a small demonstration of how popular it is!).

Play Slide for Free Online

slide at stakeOne of the downsides of Slide, if you want to call it a shortcoming that is, is that unlike the other Stake originals, this one can't be played for free. This makes sense, as it's a multiplayer game. So each wager has to be real.

Instead, what you can do is watch as others play, to get a sense of the game. Kind of like what we recommend doing at the live casino, which also doesn't facilitate free play.

You can also, of course, make a really small real money bet of like a single cent, which is almost free. That way you get a firsthand sense of the game, with minimal risk, as you figure out your comfort zone.

Slide Betting Limits

There are a number of reasons why people love Stake originals so much, including the simplicity, crypto betting opportunity, and provably fair factors. However, another main one is undoubtedly the near limitless betting options.

coins iconThat is, all Stake originals, including Slide, accommodate the most minor of wagers up to those that are astronomically high. The exact amount depends very much on the currency that you're using. But for Canadian dollars, for example, that would be from $0.01 up to apparently a $2,000,000 top bet, while for Bitcoin it would be a slightly different range from a value of $0.00001 up to 100 BTC. And for Ethereum, as another example, up to 1,000 ETH per round.

Stake Slide Game Paytable

The goal of the game is to guess the multiplier the slide lands on, or at least a value less than it. If you do so, you win your chosen multiplier amount. That's it. There are no symbols or paytable to follow. Just what you guessed as your potential reward.

Special Slide Features

There aren't really any special features in Slide like the bonus rounds you may be used to from slots play, or side bets perhaps from blackjack games.

The only one really is that of auto play. Here you'll get to it by clicking on the tab 'Auto', which is on the left side of your screen, beside the 'Manual' tab which is the default option.

slide-start-autobetMoreLess

Once you open the 'Auto' tab, you'll need to set the fields for 'Bet Amount', 'Target Multiplier', and 'Number of Bets' (from 1 through infinity).

idea iconYou can also specify the percentage you'd like to increase your bet by on a win or a loss, as well as commands to stop on a certain profit sum or loss. The latter, by the way, are highly recommended options to help you keep your gambling better under control.

Streamers Who Play the Original Slide Casino Game

Like all Stake originals, Slide too has its following, with many streamers featuring it in sessions. However, we've seen in forums too discussions as to why this game is under rated, as in less appreciated and garnering less attention than it deserves.

mines logoWe certainly can't see why this is, though it's hard to compete with the level of fanfare of Mines, Crash, Limbo or Plinko. And maybe it's just for whatever reason that it hasn't quite reached its prime following yet, and is set to explode through exposure garnered from reviews like this.

In any event, take what we just said with a grain of salt. Because plenty of us "regular" people regularly play Slide. In fact, at least 500 or so at a time. And as we've seen, many streamers love it too, like NoobTM, AceGambles, Sketchy, HypeCrew Originals, and GravyGambles  (all of who are  big fans of Stake originals in general from what we've seen).

So if you're interested in this level of entertainment, you can always catch past clips on YouTube, where you can search for something like "Stake Slide stream", or you can hope to get lucky when following your favourite influencer on Kick.com, hoping they'll feature it that day.

Stake Slide Strategy and Tips

The question of strategy is also interesting when it comes to a pure luck game - and Slide definitely qualifies as that, as it's 100% a matter of random luck where each slide will land. There is literally and absolutely no way of you ever knowing.

The only strategy really is to find your sweet spot in betting. That is the balance of choosing a multiplier that has a decent return on your bet, but is also reasonably achievable. For example, a 3 to 5X multiplier wouldn't be far-fetched, while the top bet of the slide reaching 4,294,967,000X is far less likely (though obviously way more lucrative).

The other tip that we can offer is a general one. And that is to set yourself gambling limits. For example, always decide in advance how much you're willing to spend for the day. Or similarly, how long you want to invest in playing; like an hour or 3?

Play Slide on Stake Mobile

mobile devices iconAs an aside, since many Casino.Guide readers are all about mobile play, the question of compatibility answers affirmative. That is, of course Slide is a mobile game, as in one you can play from your cellphone or tablet. Though you don't have to of course. Plenty of us like desktop play as well, which is convenient while taking breaks from work for example. But don't tell the boss!

However, seriously, if you're wondering about Android or iOS compatibility, Slide will work on any operating system, and in any major web browser. Just visit the Stake website from any device to play, and go from there. It's the same exact experience on any screenshot, from any location.

Stake Slide FAQs

While it's simple to slide right into play with this one, we get that there are questions that come up from the curious. That's why our expert team has fielded your inquiries, and done the research completing the full picture of the Stake Slide experience.

  1. Where can I find the Slide crypto game?
  2. Which currencies can I use for betting on Slide?
  3. Can I bet Bitcoin on Slide?
  4. Is Slide a social game?
  5. How many people can play Slide at the same time?
  6. Which target multiplier should I choose?
  7. What is the Slide history button?
  8. Is the auto play option recommended when playing Slide?
  9. What other Stake originals is Slide similar to?
  10. Is Slide a provably fair casino game?

1.) Where can I find the Slide crypto game?

You may have seen a streamer playing, but not caught the name of the casino in the session. Or maybe you have simply been skimming this review, and missed the answer to this. So we'll just point out here again, that Slide is a Stake casino original, that can only be played there.

2.) Which currencies can I use for betting on Slide?

You can bet on Slide using any of the currencies that Stake casino accepts for transactions (that is deposits and withdrawals). These include a number of very specific local currencies, as in fiats such as CAD, JPY, ARS, BRL, CLP, INR, and PEN. In addition, it accommodates some 20+ different crypto currencies like BTC, ETH, LTC, and most recently TRUMP.

3.) Can I bet Bitcoin on Slide?

Yes, like we just wrote, you can deposit at Stake in a number of crypto currencies including Bitcoin, which means you can also bet in Bitcoin.

For the full list of digital coins accepted at Stake, you can either read our Stake review, or go to your casino account, and look in your wallet where they'll all appear in a dropdown list.

4.) Is Slide a social game?

Yes, you could definitely say that Slide is a social game. Not in the sense that you'll be talking with anyone while you're playing. At least not other players. If you're a streamer, however, you may well have your entourage on hand to keep things interesting.

But there are two strong social elements here. One is that you can see the bets that others are making in real-time as the 'Next round in' ticker counts down. Plus, you can see exactly how many other bets have been placed in total.

There is also, by the way, the exact same version of this game on Stake.us, which is the local version for those in the States, and officially marketed as a social casino site.

5.) How many people can play Slide at the same time?

There is no limit to how many people can play simultaneously, as far as we know. It's a multiplayer game. Plus, with no seats like at a blackjack table, there's no reason to limit the numbers anyhow.

From what we've seen, there are usually at least around 500 people playing a round at any given time. And as its popularity inevitably grows, so too, we'd imagine will the number of people active in each bet.

6.) Which target multiplier should I choose?

Wow. This is the million-dollar question, almost quite literally. And we really don't know, nor could we possibly say, as we have no clue as to your budget or expected returns, not to mention things like appetite for risk.

As such, this is something you're going to need to sort out for yourself, remembering the range of 1.01X up to 4,294,967,000X, and everything in between.

Ideally, you will want to find a balance between the probability of achieving a payout and the level of prize you want. However, if you have the bankroll, or a high roller personality, you may want to go for it all. Though again, that's in no way something we're equipped to advise.

7.) What is the Slide history button?

Since results are determined by a random number generator, whatever happened before in no way impacts what will happen next. That being said, there's always a curiosity factor as to finding a pattern, or helping you set a more realistic goal in choosing your target multiplier.

To this end, the 'Slide History' button is your friend. You can see it in the top, very right corner of your screen when you have the game open, with an icon that looks like a list. Click on that and you can see all past results, as in the multiplier each round landed on, going back as far as you like.

8.) Is the auto play option recommended when playing Slide?

That's a good question, and again we can't say. Some people swear by the convenience of auto play, while we lean to making individual bets.

This is obviously going to be a matter of taste and priorities. So the one thing we can say, is that if you do choose auto play, do so wisely, by setting some loss and win hard stops to help you maintain control.

9.) What other Stake originals is Slide similar to?

Slide is its own thing, unique from any other online casino game and even Stake original. That being said, it has some strong overlaps with other titles in the Stake original series.

For example, we'd say it's probably most like Crash, which lets you set a multiplier at which you'd like to cashout. Though its reasonable when others have made a comparison to Limbo, in which you also set a target multiplier. Both of these, by the way, are also recommended by our review team, all of whom love the Stake originals concept.

10.) Is Slide a provably fair casino game?

As a fair game, in a licensed casino, Slide obviously has an RNG built in, determining the results of each round.

In addition, as is expected of the crypto game genre specifically, Slide also gives you access to the provably fair algorithm where you can check the results of each round you or others have played.

Our Expert Opinion on the Stake Original Slide Game

Overall, after careful review, we only have positive things to say about this game.

It's truly original, like no other game we've ever seen before, which gives it a huge innate advantage, since it's rare to find such a thing. But unique doesn't mean  complicated, which we appreciate too, since it's nice to keep online gambling simple and light.

At the end of the day really, it's a pure guessing game, with a tiny bit of strategy in terms of setting your threshold. This keeps it interesting, and adds a bit of an extra element over something like standard slots play. Plus, of course you've got the social dimension with it being a multiplayer game with all bets exposed, which can keep things more engaging too.

Since wagers can be super low on this one, even less than a cent, we'd say your best bet is to try it yourself. We're pretty sure anyone would like it, so wide is its appeal, but we'll leave the final verdict to you.
