There's no arguing that Frankie Dettori is one of the all-time horse racing greats.
The Italian jockey may have spent most of his career in England, but his fame and good fortune made him an international name. in fact, you might say, even a legend. And amazingly, at last check into his 50s, he's still at it!
How he finds the strength and stamina for that is astounding. And how he manages to fit in other endeavours like his Stake partnership is truly astounding. But so it is.
As of early May 2025, Dettori has officially been serving as Stake's Global Racing Ambassador. He is both the first and only Stake sponsorship partner to serve in that role, bringing racing content, tips, and promotional activities to players.
How did Stake close this deal, and is this partnership worth following? Well, yes, inherently we'd say it is. But to get what a major deal this is, and why it matters, it's worth delving more into the man, and what having him "on side" brings to the world of sports betting.
A Bit of Background on Frankie Dettori
If you've heard of just one jockey, Frankie Dettori may be he. One of the most flamboyant and charismatic in the sport, he's also one of the most decorated following a nearly 40-year oft winning career.
Frankie's rise to success in the sport was, in part, in the genes. Born in Milan, Italy in 1970, the son of Gianfranco Dettori, himself a champion jockey, and Mara, a circus performer, there's no denying competition and physical aptitude were passed on from birth. Though, of course, there's no knowing how much of what came after was nature versus nurture.

In any event, while in early childhood Frankie seemed to be more interested in football (aka soccer in North American terms), around the age of 8, he picked up his passion for horse racing when his father bought him a palomino pony. His first big race with that pony ended disastrously when he fell off at the finish line. But things surely and steadily improved from there.
Already in 1985, at the age of 14, he left Italy to work as a stableboy in England, which was to become his home base for many years thereafter. The next year after, in 1986, he experienced his first win at the Turin racecourse, when he visited Italy for the competition.
From there, Dettori went on to become the British flat racing Champion Jockey, in the years 1994 and 1995 successively, and again in 2004. He has also ridden the winning horses of 287 Group 1 races, a massive achievement.
His biggest claim to fame, however, is of course that one fine day at the Ascot Racecourse back on September 28, 1996 when he rode all seven horses on his card to victory. This 'Magnificent Seven', as it has come to be known, came in at odds of 25,000/1, bringing him international fame and glory (and some bet placers, huge winnings!).

Since then, he's continued to ride and race, often successfully. And while he's toyed with the idea of retirement numerous times, as of late 2025, he seems to still be going strong. From what he's said, his final, official retirement from the saddle will likely happen in early 2026, after a short stint in South America, where he's enjoying what are being called his "few final rides" and serving as global ambassador for Amo Racing.
As for other notable activities outside of the racetrack, Frankie Dettori has expanded his career by taking on several global ambassadorial roles, including one with Stake casino, the subject of this review, and his aforementioned position with Amo Racing. He's also a recognised media figure, having served as a team captain on the BBC's A Question of Sport and making appearances on other TV shows like Celebrity Big Brother, Top of the Pops, and the Netflix Race for the Crown series that came out on April 22, 2025.
Additionally, he has engaged in numerous entrepreneurial ventures. The most notable is the restaurant chain Frankie's Italian Bar & Grill, which he opened in partnership with chef Marco Pierre White. Plus, he's authored two autobiographies. Frankie: The Autobiography of Frankie Dettori, which was first published in 2004 (and updated the year after), and Leap of Faith: The New Autobiography, which came out in January 2022.
How Much Experience Does Frankie Dettori Have as a Streamer?
Many Stake partners stream their gaming sessions, like Drake, Anuel AA, and Raftaar. But many others are more strictly ambassadors, in the classic sense of the term - of paid, positive representatives of the brand - particularly the sports legends who've signed on.
Frankie, for his part, fits in more with the latter, joining an impressive roster that includes Sergio Leonel Agüero del Castillo the footballer, and Israel Adesanya of UFC and kickboxing fame, in sharing his views on the sport, racing news, tips, and exclusive sports betting promos with fans.

So while we'd love to see Frankie Dettori play slots or hit up the blackjack tables, we're not sure this is in the cards anytime soon. At least not live-streamed on Kick or Twitch, though we're not privy to what he does in his private time.
Does This Partnership Have Any Connection to Frankie Dettori Slots?
If you're a long-time fan of online gambling, this partnership between Frankie Dettori and Stake may ring a bell. Not because Dettori was an official casino brand ambassador in the past, to the best of our knowledge.
Rather, because he has indeed lent his name to the pastime, or more accurately licensed it out to the casino game developer Playtech, who went on to create the legendary Frankie Dettori's Magic Seven slots, which was released in 2010, based on his epic day at the Ascot back in 1996. So well-received was this online slot machine that it was followed up by the release of Frankie Dettori's Magic Seven Jackpot, though it has been less popular for some reason, despite the progressive jackpot prize connected to it.

Which Online Casino Does the Streamer Frankie Dettori Play at?
Since Frankie hasn't been live streaming any gambling, we can't say for certain at which online casino he plays, or if he plays at all. That being said, as he's an official Stake ambassador, our best guess would be Stake casino, of course. But stranger things have happened in the world of partnerships and brand advertising.
For now, however, he's really identifying with the Stake brand, and proudly wears its merchandise and swag across his social media accounts. Plus, he has a full dedicated page on the Stake casino website, and is actively sharing content on the Stake blog, including an in-depth and exclusive interview.

What Are Frankie Dettori's Favourite Online Casino Games?
Again, in answer to this question, while we understand this is technically meant to be a casino streamer review, Frankie Dettori's relationship is a little outside of that box. That is, while he is the namesake for the popular casino slot game Frankie Dettori's Magic Seven and is an ambassador for Stake, a gambling platform, his most famous and consistent form of gambling involves betting on horses. Not casino game gambling.
As such, we have no idea which casino games he prefers, or if he enjoys casino gambling at all. He may well, though he might not.
Does Frankie Dettori Use Any Special Betting Strategies?
Frankie Dettori's primary "game" is horse racing itself. And his strategy is insider knowledge.
He is often mentioned in articles discussing the huge financial losses he caused bookmakers during his 1996 Magnificent Seven winning streak at Ascot. In fact, many speculate that there's a significant connection between his deep involvement and interest in the odds and payouts of the races he rides, in general.
His betting strategy is not, however, a documented system for casino games or any other form of gambling.
Instead, his expertise and advice are specifically rooted in his decades of deep insider knowledge of horse racing - leveraging his elite experience to identify horses with hidden potential or strategic advantages in major events. This was clearly demonstrated, for example, when he confidently advised aggressive betting on the horse Al Riffa in the 2025 Melbourne Cup.
Frankie's famous post advertising betting on Al Riffa:
He was wrong, by the way, as Al Riffa finished seventh. But he's also sometimes right. And his knowledge and experience are, at minimal, worth considering.
When and Where Does Frankie Dettori Stream?
In contrast to streamers like Trainwreckstv or Drake, who are casino gambling content creators, Dettori's ambassadorship is about leveraging his unique expertise in the field of horse racing.
Or put more succinctly, he doesn't live-stream casino games, period. Nor has he in any way shared any clips of himself actively gambling. So don't expect to find him on Twitch or Kick, though if something like that happened, it would certainly be amazing.
Frankie Dettori on Social Media
Frankie Dettori is very active on social media across several major platforms, including Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Facebook - the three places where he has official channels. His social media presence is a key part of his public persona and is used heavily for various forms of promotion and engagement with his fanbase, which makes it worth following.

Frankie Dettori on Facebook

What to expect from his Facebook page, you ask? Well, in a nutshell, mostly content related to his two current ambassadorship projects - Stake and Amo Racing respectively. Plus, a bit of memory lane, some personal updates, and some race betting tips in the mix.
frankiedettori_ on Instagram
Frankie's biggest social media following is on Instagram, which, considering his flamboyant, unflinching self-promotional style, makes sense.
His Instagram feed is dominated by photos and videos from the racetrack, showcasing his wins, the horses he rides, and his signature flying dismount. He also uses the platform to communicate major personal and professional news, such as his retirement updates and new ambassadorial roles - including his exclusive Stake content.
Dettori announcing his new partnership with a flying dismount:
Overall, his posts tend to feature his famously charismatic and humorous personality, giving fans a look into his life both on and off the course, with an authentic feel. True, much of it overlaps with his Facebook posts, but Instagram has its own charm. And it is definitely the best place, in our opinion, to find his updates in a fun and accessible way.
@FrankieDettori on X
The final official Frankie Dettori social media account worth mentioning is his presence on X. Here, he's been active since January 2016, and describes himself as "Proud Dad of 5. Champion Jockey & 2 time Derby Winner. @StakeGlobal Racing Ambassador | Code: Dettori| Represented by @HTalentmgmt", which pretty succinctly summarises all of his activities.
His content on X (formerly Twitter) tends to be more news-focused, direct, and immediate compared to the highly visual, celebratory, and personal content he shares on Instagram. This means you'll find him using it to make major career statements, such as announcing his retirement plans, his bankruptcy filings, and his ambassadorial roles, often through text-heavy posts or embedded statements.

On top of this, though, he also provides direct updates, commentary, and links to racing coverage at times. And, on the interactive front, you can see him interact with racing journalists, trainers, owners, and bookmakers, often sharing or retweeting professional updates about the sport here too.
Frankie Dettori Official Website
While not exactly a social media account, a great hub for all things Frankie Dettori is, of course, his official website.
Found at frankiedettori.com, under the banner slogan "Horse Racing's Living Legend", this beautifully designed, and wonderfully informative website is a great resource for Frankie's fans.
In addition to the latest news of what he's been up to, it's a place where you can purchase his signed artwork. Or more accurately, the limited-edition prints created by the MurWalls team at the Newmarket and Epsom racecourses, which he's signed in commemoration of his final season.
There's also a detailed biography section on the website, book and film credits (plus purchasing opportunities), details of his awards won, as well as snippets of media appearances.
Frankie Dettori on TikTok
Although Frankie isn't on TikTok officially, there are undoubtedly plenty of clips bearing his name and image.
Actually, we'll qualify that in saying that there is an account called frankiedettori.official. But since there's a warning explicitly stated on his website, that only his official social channels as linked to from there are real, and TikTok isn't one of them listed or linked to, it's unclear whether or not this is in fact an official channel. So, unless otherwise confirmed, for now it's safe to assume that this is a fan account, rather than the real deal. Though we'd of course be happy to follow him on TikTok too when he opens shop.
Frankie Dettori on YouTube
On YouTube, like TikTok, there is, without a doubt a lot of Frankie Dettori content. But none of it is officially from the legendary jockey himself. That is, while again here there is an account claiming to be the real deal, with the @FrankieDettoriOfficial handle, and his branding in the page banner, plus a link to his website, Frankie himself has in no way promoted it. And no clips have been added there since its founding in November 2023.
This could well be because it's a placeholder, saving the name for when he's ready. But only time will tell if that's the case.
Scandals and Controversies
An undeniably colourful character, Frankie Dettori's career has been punctuated by several major controversies.
His first notable setback was in 1993, in a controversial incident involving cocaine possession, for which he received a police caution in the UK.
A number of years later, in 2012, he faced public scrutiny for his abrupt split from the powerful Godolphin stable, which ended an 18-year partnership with Sheikh Mohammed.

Compounding his difficulties, he faced a highly publicized financial scandal in March 2025 when he was forced to file for bankruptcy due to a protracted dispute with HMRC over a tax avoidance scheme he used. This again was an outcome he publicly expressed deep embarrassment about.
In between all that, his highly volatile nature has sometimes led to professional penalties, including most recently, a suspension for careless riding during the Royal Ascot of 2023.
Considering his public persona of a charismatic world-class sportsman, these public difficulties have been surprising to fans over the years. And go to show that we have no idea of the demons behind even the most successful of people.
Frankie Dettori's Estimated Net Worth
Frankie Dettori's total estimated net worth has fluctuated significantly over the course of his long career.

However, like many a celebrity and sportsman before him, a lot of mismanagement and poor decisions put an end to that.
Most notably, in December 2024, his ongoing dispute with HMRC (His Majesty's Revenue and Customs), the UK tax authority, officially became public, severely undermining his financial standing. This resulted in Dettori making the embarrassing announcement that he was filing for bankruptcy in March 2025.
The exact details of his current financial status are now complex and confidential due to the ongoing legal and restructuring process. All we can say definitively on the matter, thus, is that his estimated net worth is highly volatile and uncertain compared to his peak financial years. And while he most certainly remains a strong global brand, the outcome of the bankruptcy case will determine his final confirmed wealth, as the key financial details used to calculate the verdict will become public knowledge due to how the UK bankruptcy system works.
Frankie Dettori's Private Life
Frankie Dettori is, behind the very strong public figure, a family man at heart.

Frankie Dettori and daughter Tallula
In 1997, he married Catherine Dettori (born Allen), and together they had five kids. Three daughters (Ella, Mia, and Tallula) and two sons (Leo and Rocco).
Known as a rock in his sometimes tumultuous life, Dettori has often spoken about the vital, stabilising support Catherine and the family provided during the more controversial periods of his career, including his 2012 drug suspension.
As for where he lives, for much of his career, he was based in Newmarket, Suffolk, England. He later moved to the US (California and then Florida), and is currently said to be traveling and riding in South America, though he hasn't officially set up residence anywhere there (or elsewhere) to our knowledge, at the moment.
In terms of hobbies, he's a known Arsenal FC fan. And past descriptions of his homes often highlight his passion for fitness (gyms, pools) to maintain his jockey weight, alongside family-focused amenities like game rooms and a large kitchen.
Interestingly, while his public persona is one of near extreme showmanship, appearances on reality TV shows like Celebrity Big Brother and his own autobiographical comments have hinted at a more complex, sometimes moodier, side. Which, at the end of the day, makes sense, since he's human after all.
Bottom Line: Does Frankie Dettori Make for a Good Stake Ambassador?
Usually, we conclude our streamer and Stake partnership reviews with an assessment of whether or not the person is worth watching. In this case, Frankie Dettori is always worth watching. But not in the streaming sense, as that's not his thing.
Rather, Frankie Dettori is a sportsman first. And giving his expert insider voice to the Stake platform and its fans is what this partnership is about.
And frankly, we love it! Frankie Dettori is a horse racing legend, and together with his clever and charismatic energy, he makes for the perfect person to lend us tips, inspiration, and hopefully some worthwhile sports betting promotions along the way. As such, we'll definitely stay tuned and look forward to what else he has to share.
